Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. After making her debut in a feature film with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modeling after being approached by a professional photographer. It led to an impressive professional career as a model for commercials. Doody avoided nude and glamour work, a rule that was carried into her acting. In 1985, following getting noticed by the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. She was Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody played the role in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then she moved to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny role on the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her as a character at an awards ceremony. In 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. In 2011, she was set to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. In 2011, she started the second season on E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way.
